Professional Below-the-Hook Inspection & Certification Services

Field Inspection, and preventative maintenance program continuation, performed under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer, for Below-the-hook lifting equipment in accordance with ASME/ANSI B30.20, and ASME/ANSI BTH-1.

Each inspection will include the following:

1. A visual and operational inspection, if allowed, to the extent possible, without disassembly. During this process, components will be evaluated to determine if a complete disassembly is required.
2. Evaluation of design, if not previously completed by Hunter Lift. Reverse engineering is quoted separately.
3. MAG testing will be performed on-site, as needed, to the extent possible without disassembly, of stressed welds and high-stress plate members.
4. The previously defined inspection interval will be followed for each device. Additionally, the current Service Type will be confirmed to ensure inspection intervals are accurate and economical. The 3 Service Types are defined below:
   1. Normal Service--that distributed service which involves operation with various weights within the rated load limit, or uniform loads less than 65% of the rated load.
   2. Heavy Service--that service which involves operation within the rated load limit that exceeds normal service.
   3. Severe Service--that service which involves normal or heavy service with abnormal operating conditions.
5. Engineering evaluation of capacity, if capacity is not known, will be quoted separately.
6. Load Test is excluded and not required by code.
7. A full written report, including the items described above will be submitted to the customer upon completion.
8. Identification tags will be supplied and installed if previous tags have not been installed. This is quoted separately
9. Reverse engineering to the extent possible at the customer facility as required for capacity. Reverse Engineering is quoted separately.
