Hunter Lift designs and manufactures overhead slab lifters that are built to handle the extreme weight and heat of steel slabs in mill environments. Each set of custom slab tongs is engineered in the U.S. to meet your exact lifting needs, whether you’re transporting hot slabs from the caster or moving cold inventory in storage. Our overhead slab lifter designs can be configured for mechanical, motorized, or hydraulic operation.
We account for slab width, temperature, surface condition, and handling process to ensure a safe and effective lift with every use. All units are built to comply with ASME B30.20 and BTH-1 standards for below-the-hook devices.
