This clam bucket was sent in for a complete disassembly and rebuild. This unit received new alloy steel bucket lips that were bent, worn and misaligned. It also received (2) new inner arm links, because they were bent and kept the bucket from functioning properly. These new links had to be completely reverse engineered because we had no drawings for this unit prior to starting this rebuild.

This double grip coil tong was sent in for rebuild and replacement of broken components. In addition to the regular rebuild the customer asked us to address some of the design issues surrounding this device. While the unit was being repaired Hunter Lift worked with the customer to improve the units durability. In addition the gripping shoes of the device were completely redesigned and manufactured to eliminate damage to the product that was being lifted by the unit.

The Kress carrier leg was sent in for a repair due to a leg failure. As well making the required repairs, we worked with our customer to design improvements to avoid costly repairs and failures in the future. We added a heavier alloy steel main tube and side plates to reduce stress and fatigue. In the time since the rebuild, the customer has seen a dramatic decrease in leg failures in the repaired units.

This unit was sent in for repair because the existing (2) piece shoe bolt design was failing. The customer needed a stronger and more reliable shoe bolt. Hunter Lift designed and manufactured a single piece shoe bolt that will provide increased strength and longer service life which will decrease down-time. In addition, this unit received a complete rebuild which included all new studs, shoe bearings, latching mechanism rebuild, and spool stud.

This Single Slab Tong unit was sent to Hunter Lift for rebuild. In addition to a complete disassemble and rebuild this unit received newly designed forged clevis’s that replaced the original plate clevis, which makes it easier for the crane operators to operate. It also received a stronger and more durable heat shield, and a latching mechanism flag which helps the operator in determining when the unit is safely latched and un-latched.
