This tong is used to move single coils with the eye of the coil in the horizontal position. This design uses a motor driven pinion, which drives each leg in and out through racks mounted to each. This device can be fitted with saddle switches, coil edge switches, leg position feedback, and onboard rotation. The design offers replaceable saddle liners and saddle front liners, easily replaceable saddle trip switches, and easy access to all drive components. This device can be completely controlled through PLC for automatic operation.
